Let me take all your ‘hair’ worries away.  I am fully trained in fitting, cutting and styling wigs and hair pieces for women and children. The service I provide is not only professional and totally confidential; I really do care about the way you can look. I want you to feel relaxed, informed and leave my clinic feeling totally empowered and positive.  Bring along a friend or family member (or both!). I will spend as much time with you as you need.  I can also provide you with lots of tips, dos and don’ts, along with information on nutrition, government benefits, subsidies and lots more. I provide a 7 day a week service and will always work around your needs. I also provide a full after care service, so if you have any questions at all just give me a call or send me an e-mail.

Salon

The new salon at Glamorous Butterfly opened its doors in February 2016. It is beautifully decorated and totally private. There are disabled access and facilities as well as parking to the front and rear.  To keep 100% privacy and confidentiality we do not have any walk-in appointments and ask for our customers to pre-book their consultations.

Vanessa offers a fully professional and trained wig fitting service and has an extensive array of the world’s most beautiful wigs available to purchase. She also offers a semi and fully custom made service with prices upon request. Hair enhancers and toppers are also available in salon and will be fully fitted and trimmed to suit. Glamorous Butterfly provides a wig washing, styling and reconditioning services which features products such as Olaplex and Neal & Wolf. A custom colouring service is also available on wigs purchased from Glamorous Butterfly.

Glamorous Butterfly is proud to announce that the salon is part of the MyNewHair organisation which was founded by Trevor Sorbie. Any NHS patients that receive wig vouchers can come along to see Vanessa and have total peace of mind that they will go away with an amazing wig.

Make-up

Eyebrows are not only nature’s way of protecting our eyes, but they actually frame our faces; your eyebrows are one of your most important assets in terms of your looks. The right brow shape and colour not only flatter and frame your face, but can take years off you. Since its launch in 2010, I have always worn Beautiful Brows make-up. Believe me, I have tried and tested all brow enhancers on the market and I always go back to this product. Its so easy to apply, whether you have brows or not and will last all day. I even use it as a high pigment eye shadow and liner. Beautiful brows comes in many forms from the full kit (which includes eyebrow powder, three eyebrow shapes, duo applicator brush, eyebrow highlighter, highlighter brush, soft grip tweezers, magnifying mirror) to the individual powders. The powders come in 5 different shades, there is one to suit everyone. Each kit comes with three different eyebrow stencils which are so easy to use and are great for absolute beginners, if you have poor eyesight or problems with motor skills. 

Wigs and hair pieces

I supply not only the finest European hair and 100% human hair wigs and toppers, but also the most current styles and colours. Technology within the wig industry is changing rapidly and I am always keeping up with this from the new rooted colours, ombre shades and balayage techniques. I have many, many stock pieces available, so you can feel the quality of the hair, match to your own colour or go for something completely different. You can freely try on pieces which, rest assured, will be professionally fitted, cut and styled for you. I will provide you with an easy to use care guide providing step-by-step guides to washing and the correct wig care instructions, so no need to worry about the maintenance of your piece.  I offer total support to all my clients and i am available to talk to whenever you feel you need advice or guidance. I also help transgender people who are undergoing their transition from male to female so that they can look and feel their best in their beautiful new wig.

I offer a reconditioning service for your human hair wigs, taking your old, tatty wigs to a fresh new look. Prices are on request and charged according to how long the recondition takes.

Custom Colouring and Reconditioning Service

Vanessa is a trained wig and hair piece colourist and can achieve the most amazing tailored colours on your human hair wigs and hair pieces. Prices are on request. Alongside this, Glamorous Butterfly can transform your old human hair wigs and toppers with a unique reconditioning service which includes trimming and styling. Human hair wigs require a professional recondition and trim every 6-9 months to keep them looking and feeling the best they possibly can. Prices upon request.
