How to care for your Human hair wig and hair piece

SHAMPOOING:

Make sure you brush the hair from end to root making sure any knots are removed and the cuticles are all lying the same way. Immerse the hair in warm water either in a clean sink or bath. Use a ten pence size amount of shampoo and gently from root to end massage in .Rinse and repeat, making sure the inside of the cap is cleaned also.

CONDITIONING:

Making sure you use enough conditioner so root to ends are covered gently with a wide toothed shower comb, comb through again from end to root. Leave conditioner for at least 5 minutes and up to 1 hour for a more intensive treatment. Rinse in warm water thoroughly making sure the cap foundation is clear of any conditioner.

DRYING:

Wrap the freshly washed and conditioned hair in a clean towel and leave for 5 minutes. Your wig can then be left to either air dry naturally on a wig stand (in colder weather this will take longer to dry) or your can blow dry. Use a temperature controlled hair dryer and before drying spray the hair with a heat protecting spray. On a medium heat half dry the wig paying most attention to the cap foundation. Once half dried place hair on your head and finished blow dry making sure the heat is on medium to cool at all times. Straightening irons, curling tongs and heated rollers can all be used but please note the heat should not exceed 180 degrees.

Please remember when using straightening irons or tongs do not leave the tools on the ends of the hair for too long as this will dry out and damage the ends of the hair.
